Maputo International School (MIS) is Mozambique's first international school, established in 1976. For nearly five decades, MIS has provided high-quality international education to students froma diverse range of nationalities, fostering an inclusive, multicultural nvironment where academic excellence and personal development go hand in hand. Our History
Founded in 1976, Maputo International School was established to meet the educational needs of the international community in Mozambique. Over the years, the school has grown into one of the country's leading international schools while remaining committed to academic excellence, innovation, and the holistic development of every learner. In 2026, MIS proudly celebrates its 50th Anniversary, marking five decades of educating generations of students who have gone on to contribute positively to communities around the world.

Language Centre
The MIS Language Centre extends learning beyond the core curriculum by offering language programmes for both the school community and the wider public. Rules and regulations
Our school rules focus on being polite, using common sense, and staying safe. We expect everyone to behave well and dress appropriately. If students don't follow these rules or struggle with their work, we address it seriously.
