Founded in 1976, Maputo International School was established to meet the educational needs of the international community in Mozambique. Over the years, the school has grown into one of the country's leading international schools while remaining committed to academic excellence, innovation, and the holistic development of every learner. In 2026, MIS proudly celebrates its 50th Anniversary, marking five decades of educating generations of students who have gone on to contribute positively to communities around the world.

The MIS Language Centre extends learning beyond the core curriculum by offering language programmes for both the school community and the wider public.
